What People Are Saying About Batesville Community Theatre

At Batesville Community Theatre (BCT), live theatre is more than a performance—it’s a celebration of community. Through the voices of our audience, families, cast, and crew, you’ll hear stories of laughter, inspiration, and the joy of coming together to share something meaningful.

Parents speak with pride as they watch their children grow in confidence on stage. Audience members describe the excitement of seeing their neighbors and friends bring stories to life. Volunteers share the satisfaction of working behind the scenes to create something larger than themselves.

These heartfelt reflections reveal what makes BCT an asset to Batesville and beyond: a place where creativity thrives, connections deepen, and the arts truly enrich everyday life.

  • "Nice little theater. We watched Sarah Plain and Tall. I was impressed with the acting skills, especially the children. Enjoyed the finger foods at intermission."

    Beverly Luck

  • "I didn't want it to end! I had such a wonderful experience. I wanted more! When you first walk in, you will notice how small it is. But never judge a book by its cover, because the people are so nice. And you actually get to meet them, which you cannot in professional theatres."

    Aalyn “Lyn”

  • "The Summer Kid's program has been a blast for my child. She's learned so much about how everything works backstage. The staff is truly wonderful!"

    Melvin Cole

I cannot thank you enough for creating such a wonderful safe place for theater people.

“My daughter was in the Cinderella ensemble. Her role in the play wasn’t very big but the impact being a part of the cast and your crew had a tremendous impact on her. She’s struggled to fit in and find friends. She had become very closed off and isolated until rehearsals started. She came home on the first day with the biggest smile on her face, telling me she had found her place and her people. She has completely come out of her shell. To be honest she’s a completely different kid. I cannot thank you enough for creating such a wonderful safe place for theater people.

What you and your organization have done for her and for me as her mother is unparalleled. She has grown as a singer and actress but also as person.

Thank you doesn’t seem sufficient. I hope you all realize what a difference you’re making in this community and how important your work is. You’re amazing and I am forever grateful.”
