What to Expect at Auditions

  • Prepared Monologue: All auditionees should present a memorized monologue, approximately 60 seconds in length.

  • Musical Theatre Auditions: In addition to the monologue, candidates should prepare 16–32 measures of a musical selection. Accompaniment tracks must be provided on a personal device, which can be connected via Bluetooth to BCT’s speaker system.

  • Movement/Dance: A brief choreographed combination will be taught during auditions. Please wear appropriate footwear that allows safe and comfortable movement; sandals are not permitted.

  • Script Reading: Participants may also be asked to read selected passages from the production script.

We encourage all auditionees to arrive prepared, focused, and ready to engage fully in each component of the audition process.
